If you enjoy riding motorcycles and you are an active or retired law enforcement officer, The BLUE KNIGHTS INTERNATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT MOTORCYCLE CLUB may be for you.
The Blue Knights are a non-profit fraternal organization consisting of men and women with time honored traditions. We were formed in the spring of 1974 when several officers in the Bangor Maine area decided to go for a ride and form a local motorcycle club. From there it spread like the American Revolution. I use that analogy because there were thirteen original Chapters that were formed and I am proud to say that Rhode Island 1, as in the thirteen original Colonies, was one of those original Chapters.
We now have over 600 Chapters with 20,000 members in 29 countries. We sponsor and are involved in many charitable endeavors throughout the year including but not limited to, many rides, events and parades. During the riding season we also go for weekly rides and we invite the public to join us where we promote motorcycle safety, camaraderie and we just have a good time.
When I was elected president of this great Chapter, I sent out a message to the membership reminding them of the feeling they got the first time they rode a motorcycle. That exhilarating feeling like they were flying, being really free for the first time in their life. There’s an old saying, "It’s not about the destination; It’s all about the Ride
". So I hope you join us, it’s going to be a great one!!! To my Brother and Sister Blue Knights as always remember to, "Ride With Pride"
